Bill Goodall's Diaries: 1941/1945
 Epilogue

... and then, writes Ian Goodall [in 1995 & 2001]:

Moira & Billy went from Paddington Station to a West End Hotel,
which Moira had booked, where they stayed overnight.
They met up with Billy's Mother and Dad (Kate and Willie)
who dined at the Hotel with them that evening.

Moira & Billy lived at Henry's Avenue
with Moira's Mother and Dad (Ella and Robbie Davie)
prior to buying their first house in
Galesway, Woodford Bridge, Essex (in 1946).

Returning to their Scottish roots (their parents were from
Kirkintilloch and Glasgow) they moved from Galesway to
Bonahaven, Islay in 1953 with their two children,
Ian (born 1947) and Moira (born 1949),
then onto Windygates, Fife in 1960.

From Windygates they moved to Broughty Ferry, Tayside
and then to Upper Largo, Fife.
Lower Largo, of Robinson Crusoe fame,
became their home in 1986.

Moira died, in Windygates Hospital,
following the cruel effects of a serious stroke,
on Monday, 30th September 1991.

Bill died, in Jubilee House Nursing Home, Godalming,
having borne his dementia with courage and fortitude,
on Wednesday, 18th July 2001.

These Diaries are dedicated to the memory of my Mother & Dad
